We are seeking a dynamic and experienced EMEA Manager to lead and oversee the teams for KYC operations in the European time zone, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, as well as coordinating client onboarding review of data collection and KYC assessment of all clients (including prospective clients) to which TMF provides services to in the European time zone.

This role requires exceptional process management and people management skills, with a strong focus on team leadership, client interaction, and operational excellence. The job holder will report to the Director Compliance/Head of CDD Team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight & Execution:
- Oversee the KYC process, including local data and documentation collection, to ensure accurate and timely compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead client coordination activities for the periodic reviews, ensuring seamless collaboration and clear communication across all parties involved.
- Liaise with the Screening Team Lead for group screening activities for the assigned region for those activities relating to onboarding and ongoing monitoring for investors, M&A and for new and existing clients in the assigned region to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively i.e. ensuring the application of a risk-based approach.
T eam Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, covering the European time zone, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture, with a focus particularly on ensuring their team applies a risk-based approach when undertaking Customer Due Diligence.
- Allocate resources effectively to manage workload, address backlog responsibilities, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Provide guidance and sign-off on complex cases, acting as the final point of approval for critical decisions.
Escalation Management & Client Interaction :
- Serve as the primary escalation point for business-related issues concerning Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.
- Interact directly with clients and internal stakeholders to address concerns, resolve escalations, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Liaise with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal departments to resolve complex issues and provide expert-level support.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify opportunities to enhance KYC processes and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all KYC-related activities adhere to relevant regulations and standards while minimizing operational risks.
- To participate in discussions with internal stakeholders like Group Internal Audit, as well as to support other stakeholders, such as local offices, should there be any audit relating to KYC/CDD matters.

Key Requirements

University degree
Proven experience in KYC, CDD, or related compliance roles, with a track record of leadership.
Strong process management skills, with the ability to design and implement efficient workflows.
Excellent people management and team leadership skills, including mentoring and conflict resolution.
In-depth knowledge of KYC regulations, client screening processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities to address complex escalations.
