The Photography Manager is responsible for managing and directing all photography-related activities. This role involves overseeing the creation of high-quality visual content that enhances the brand’s image and supports marketing initiatives. The Photography Manager will work closely with the marketing team, graphic designers, and other departments to ensure that all photographic content aligns with the company’s brand identity and marketing strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage all photography projects, including planning, shooting, editing, and delivering high-quality images for various marketing channels.
- Develop visually compelling photography that supports the company’s marketing objectives, including images for websites, social media, print materials, and advertising campaigns.
- Supervise and mentor a team of photographers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Ensure all photographic content consistently reflects the brand’s visual identity and messaging guidelines.
- Work closely with the graphic design team, marketing team, and other departments to understand project requirements and deliver effective visual solutions.
- Oversee and execute photography for company events, including corporate functions, promotional events, and other key activities.
- Manage the post-production process, including photo editing, retouching, and color correction to ensure the highest quality of visual content.
- Maintain and manage photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition and up-to-date with the latest technology.
- Coordinate with external photographers and agencies when necessary, ensuring all outsourced photography meets the company’s standards and requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in photography to continuously bring fresh and relevant ideas to the team.
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository of photographic assets, ensuring easy access and proper storage.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field. Equivalent work experience or specialized training may be accepted.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a professional photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of work, including commercial, event, and lifestyle photography.
- Experience in a managerial or leadership role within a photography or creative team is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Expertise in photography techniques, including lighting, composition, and post-production editing.
- Proficiency with photography equipment and software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) and other relevant tools.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to produce visually compelling images that align with marketing goals.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple photography projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Understanding of current photography trends, techniques, and best practices, preferably within the hospitality industry.
