The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that promote the company’s brand and drive customer engagement. This role involves managing all aspects of event planning and execution, from concept development to post-event analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement plans for various corporate events such as townhall, conferences, seminars, retreats, and annual parties. This includes venue selection, vendor management, logistics, attendee management, and on-site coordination.
Create and manage budgets for all events, negotiate with vendors and suppliers to get the best rates, and ensure cost-effective event solutions.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure events meet their objectives. Maintain regular communication and provide updates throughout the event planning process.
Manage the selection, purchasing, and distribution of corporate gifts. Ensure gifts are appropriate, thoughtful, and aligned with the company’s branding and values.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venue managers to ensure favourable terms and high-quality service for events.
Conduct post-event evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback through surveys and direct communications to measure event success and ROI.
Lead and inspire a team of event coordinators and assistants, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a corporate setting, with a proven track record of successful event planning and execution.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in budget management and cost control.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with executives, stakeholders, and vendors effectively.
