The Head of Graphic Design is responsible for leading the graphic design function within the Group Marketing Department. This role involves managing the design team, overseeing all design projects, and ensuring the creation of visually compelling designs that enhance the brand’s image and support marketing objectives. The Head of Graphic Design will play a critical role in defining the visual direction of the company and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the graphic design team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the graphic design function that aligns with the company’s brand and marketing goals.
- Oversee all design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure consistency in visual identity and messaging across all marketing materials, including print, digital, and multimedia platforms.
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, operations, and content teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design to keep the company’s visuals fresh and relevant.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to support design efforts and maintain quality standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of design initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing design projects and leading a creative team.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, and other relevant tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, including branding, print, and digital assets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic design initiatives that support overall marketing goals.
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to create compelling and effective designs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
